Among the 795 individuals included in this study, no meaningful difference in the prevalence of NAFLD or MAFLD were noted (Cohen’s Kappa 0.9107, P < 0.001, high consistency), and no significant differences in the factors assessed in the examination results, such as age, BMI, waist circumference, FBG, HbA1c, fasting insulin, uric acid, creatinine, lipid profile, complete blood count, albumin, blood pressure, ALT, AST, GGT and other factors, were noted between individuals with NAFLD and those with MAFLD. Here, ALB is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
