CTNNB1 and coronary artery disorder: Researchers used sequence quality array technology to genotype 533 patients with IS, 500 patients with coronary heart disease, and 531 healthy subjects, and found for the first time that the CTNNB1 polymorphism rs2953 was significantly associated with IS and coronary heart disease, and that its expression in IS patients is reduced, which is related to the important role of β-catenin protein in neuroprotection and stem cell differentiation [29].
