HSPA1A and neoplasm: Since the amino acid sequence of Hsp70 is highly conserved across different mammalian species (Hartl 1996; Daugaard et al. 2007; Shalgi et al. 2014; Radons 2016), the cmHsp70.1 and cmHsp70.2 monoclonal antibodies used in the compHsp70 ELISA are able to detect Hsp70 not only in the blood of human cancer patients, but also in tumor-bearing rodents and canines (Breuninger et al. 2014; Bayer et al. 2014; Salvermoser et al. 2019; Rothammer et al. 2019; Werner et al. 2021).
