When we further analyzed the regulatory relationship between SH3BP5-AS1 and CTBP1, we found that SH3BP5-AS1 silencing reduced cell invasion, migration, and stemness and enhanced GEM sensitivity in PC cells, whereas CTBP1 could reverse the abovementioned effects of sh-SH3BP5-AS1 (Fig. 8A–C, Additional file 1: Fig. S6A, C and E). This evidence concerns the gene SH3BP5 and pachyonychia congenita.
