Focusing on KC/monocyte clusters identified in CyTOF (Fig. 3A), we corroborated that KCs (F4/80hi CD11b+ Ly6Clow DC-SIGN-) are in fact strongly depleted at the peak of parasitemia (7th-14th days), while inflammatory monocytes (F4/80+ CD11b+ Ly6Chi CD11c- MHCIIlow DC-SIGN-) and monocyte-derived dendritic cells (F4/80+ CD11b+ Ly6Chi DC-SIGN+ CD11c+ MHCIIhigh) emigrated to the liver at the same time frame (gating strategy in Fig. 3B, KC/iMO gating in Fig. 3C and supplementary Fig. 1C). The gene discussed is TBCE; the disease is parasitic infectious disease.
