In Table 1, these 33 genes are differentially expressed ferroptosis-related genes in carotid atherosclerosis analyzed by R software, and among them, HMOX1, NCF2, ALOX5, CYBB, IL1B, TFRC, NOX4, EGFR, and CAV1 have strong relevance in the carotid atherosclerosis and ferroptosis. This evidence concerns the gene NOX4 and carotid atherosclerosis.
