In Table 1, these 33 genes are differentially expressed ferroptosis-related genes in carotid atherosclerosis analyzed by R software, and among them, HMOX1, NCF2, ALOX5, CYBB, IL1B, TFRC, NOX4, EGFR, and CAV1 have strong relevance in the carotid atherosclerosis and ferroptosis. Here, ALOX5 is linked to carotid atherosclerosis.
