Some studies have shown that inflammatory cytokines such as CXC chemokine ligand 13 (CXCL13) (5), nucleotide binding oligomerization domain-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) (6), interleukin 6 (IL-6), IL-17A, and IL-2 increased in CSF and/or serum of patients with anti-NMDAR encephalitis (7, 8), and are partly associated with poor prognosis, serious condition, the presence of infection aura, combined teratoma, and high recurrence rate. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL13 and teratoma.
