The gene IL-7 product in cancer cell vaccine LX/(IL-7) was active and stable. This vaccine exhibited great prophylactic and therapeutic effects against tumors. Tumor-specific CD8+ T cells with higher IFN-γ expression and cytotoxicity were evidenced in models compared to control. However, the percentage of memory T cells was not significantly modified by the vaccine treatment group. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is neoplasm.
