The pathogenesis and mechanism of AD remain unclear, although five main types of pathogeneses, such as the beta-amyloid (Aβ) cascade (Mawuenyega et al., 2010), the hyperphosphorylated tau protein (Hanger et al., 2009), oxidative stress (Su et al., 2008), deficiency of central cholinergic neurotransmitters (Craig et al., 2011), and inflammation (Holmes, 2013), have been proposed. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
