Table 1 shows the baseline characteristics and perioperative data of patients who had POCD and those who did not. Compared with the non-POCD group, the patients in the POCD group were older, had a lower body mass index (BMI), and were more likely to have a previous history of cerebrovascular disease (p < 0.05). As for perioperative data, the patients who had POCD had a higher frequency of white blood cell (WBC) count >10 × 109/L, hemoglobin (Hb) level <120 g/L, intraoperative blood loss >400 ml, and operation time >8 h (p < 0.05, Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and cerebrovascular disorder.
