CAMK2D and ischemia: The lncRNA CAMK2D-associated transcript (C2dat1) is able to regulate CaMKIIδ, a CaMKII isoform, by targeting CAMK2D-associated transcript (C2dat1), thus being able to regulate key factors involved in I/R injury such as calcium overload or glutamate toxicity, and C2dat1 promoted neuronal survival via activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling cascade, which may suggest C2dat1 is a promising therapeutic approach for ischemia.
