Protoapigenone exhibits a substantial cytotoxic potential on human ovarian cancer cells by inhibition of SKOV-3 and MDAH-2774 cells at the G2/M and S phases of the cell cycle by lowering the expression of p-cyclin B1, cyclin B1, p-Cdk2, and Cdk2 and boosting the inactive p-Cdc25C expressions (Chang et al., 2008). Here, CDC25C is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
