USP7 and cardiac hypertrophy: The current study demonstrated that the deubiquitinase USP7 was upregulated in cardiac hypertrophy and the administration of its inhibitor p22077 attenuated Ang II-induced cardiac hypertrophy, fibrosis, inflammation, and oxidase stress, suggesting that USP7 might be a novel therapeutic target and a hypertrophy marker for cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure.
