METTL3 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: METTL3 is the most important methylase of m6A. In recent years, it has become clear that METTL3 is aberrantly expressed in gastric (Yue et al., 2019), breast (Pan et al., 2021), prostate (Chen et al., 2021) and non-small cell lung cancers (Xue et al., 2021), which raises the possibility that METTL3 could be a useful diagnostic marker and therapeutic target (Zeng et al., 2020).
