MFGE8 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease: Accordingly, we report here that in a dataset including 566 patients, higher MFGE8 expression levels are associated with increased measures of cognitive decline, even when adjusted for plaque and tau pathology, and that differentially higher expression of MFGE8 in the same dataset is most probably driven by vascular cells in patients with Alzheimer’s disease (Fig. 2h).
