The underlying molecular mechanism of butyrate in preventing hepatic steatosis is attributed to activating the calcium/calmodulin‐dependent protein kinase II/histone deacetylase 1‐cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein (CaMKII/HDAC1‐CREB) signaling pathway via hepatic G‐protein‐coupled receptors 41 and 43. This evidence concerns the gene CREB1 and Hepatic steatosis.
