On the other hand, recent researches have demonstrated the two components of ALBI score, total bilirubin and albumin, are associated with inflammation and oxidative stress [13, 16, 17], which are related to ventricular remodeling, myocardial fibrosis, diastolic dysfunction, microvascular thrombosis, cardiac hypertrophy and left ventricular outflow tract obstruction in HCM [18, 19, 20, 21, 22]; meanwhile, total bilirubin and albumin also have some other properties [12, 17], which could be associated with the prognosis in patients with HCM. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and cardiac hypertrophy.
