Females with fertility problems may undergo gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analog therapy for the downregulation of the pituitary function, which produces a reduction of adenomyosis since the lesion is sensitive to estrogen, conservative surgery (adenomyomectomy), and assisted reproductive technology (ART), which are all “fertility treatments in which eggs or embryos are handled” [4], or a combined therapy [5]. Here, GNRH1 is linked to adenomyosis.
