The study found that administration of MCC950, a specific NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor, could inhibit the NLRP3 inflammasome by upregulating the expression of ion channel proteins (Kv4.2, KChIP2 and Cav1.2) in mice with heart failure, thereby improving the vulnerability of ventricular arrhythmias caused by heart failure [76]. This evidence concerns the gene KCND2 and heart failure.
