FCGBP and arteriovenous malformations of the brain: A recently published study on brain arteriovenous malformation using whole-exome sequencing in trios25 identified compound heterozygous variants that were recurrent in more than one trio in 16 genes, including FCGBP. More importantly, however, elevated FCGBP levels have been reported as contributing to the pathogenesis of several neurological disorders in which inflammation and intestinal dysbiosis have been involved.
