Elevated plasma aldosterone levels of 489 pg/ml (normal, 68.0–173.0 pg/ml), low plasma renin concentrations of 2.89 pg/ml (normal, 1.1–20.2 pg/ml), and elevated aldosterone renin ratios (ARRs) of 169.2 were strongly indicated primary aldosteronism. The gene discussed is REN; the disease is primary aldosteronism.
