Loading both indocyanine green (ICG), an FDA-approved near-infrared (NIR) photosensitizer, and temozolomide (TMZ), the first-line chemotherapeutic drug for GBM, into the nanogels yields NGs@TMZ/ICG, which are then camouflaged with ApoE peptide-decorated erythrocyte membranes for prolonged blood circulation and active tumor targeting. This evidence concerns the gene APOE and glioblastoma.
