Determination of the post-treatment circulating levels of IL-6 and TGF-β1 in prostate cancer patients after 1,3,6, and 12 months after the end of radiotherapy could be important for evaluating their potential significance for predicting late GU and GI radiotoxicity and will be the focus of further studies with a larger number of patients. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and prostate carcinoma.
