A prior study demonstrated that patients (MOC n = 343) with moderate levels of CD8+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) (3–19 per high powered field) had better overall survival in MOC compared with no CD8+ TILs [Hazard ratio (HR) 0.56 (95% confidence interval (CI) 0.34–0.93), p = 0.04], with stronger associations observed in high-grade serous and endometrioid ovarian cancers [2].
