Although ADSC yield from inflammatory bowel disease patients was higher [24], an in vitro study of mesenteric and subcutaneous fat tissue from Crohn’s disease patients and healthy donors found that Crohn’s disease patients’ ADSCs expressed more proinflammatory (IL6, TNFA, CCL2, and IL1B), invasive, and phagocytic phenotype and reduced immunosuppressive properties [25]. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is Crohn disease.
