AKT1 and acute myeloid leukemia: The results illustrated a notable inhibition of cloning ability in AML cells, and the clonal population of AML cells completely disappeared on a semi-solid medium (Figure 6G,H, Figure S6C,D), suggesting that PI3K/AKT inhibitors have the potential to display potent antileukemic activity against AML cells by enhancing the anti-cloning activity of ATRA monotherapy.
