Yet, a borderline significant decreased risk of T2D was observed for SNPs rs731710-A/G (SLC7A5) and rs3783436-T/C (SLC7A8) under a dominant model (OR  =  0.73, 95% CI: 0.51–1.03; p = 0.076 and OR  =  0.70, 95% CI: 0.48–1.04, p = 0.078, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene SLC7A5 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
