Since inhibition of the FA pathway sensitized the cancer cells to cisplatin, we wanted to investigate whether planispine A can inhibit the FA/BRCA pathway, which would explain the molecular mechanism of chemo-sensitization of cisplatin by planispine A. We used the FANCD2-specific antibody to visualize FANCD2 foci formation through immunofluorescence and FANCD2 monoubiquitination by immunoblotting. This evidence concerns the gene FANCD2 and cancer.
