Early intravenous (IV) administration of recombinant human DAF (rhDAF) in rats with hemorrhage and lactated Ringer’s solution (LR)-resuscitation (HR) significantly reduced the concentration of blood lactate (p < 0.05, Figure 1A) and also markedly reduced the total volume of administered LR solution (p < 0.01, Figure 1B). The gene discussed is CD55; the disease is hemorrhage.
