In addition to oral and head and neck cancers, LonP1 was also found to be overexpressed in cells and tissue samples from malignant lymphoma [75], cervical neoplasms [76], lung adenocarcinoma, lung cancer, malignant melanoma, breast cancer [3], bladder tumors [77], leukemia [41], glioma [13], colorectal cancer [40] and renal cell carcinoma [78].
