Thus, administration of 37.5 mg/kg per day significantly reduced plasma levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and interleukin-6 (IL-6), decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) and increased GSH and hepatic glutathione peroxidase (GPx) in male rats with thioacetamide-induced liver disease.
