Integrative analysis of differentially expressed protein-coding genes with the targets of differentially expressed non protein coding miRNAs and lncRNAs, revealed that DEGs were primarily involved in 4 important cellular pathways including: cell signaling pathways (such as Rap1 signaling, MAPK signaling, PI3K-Akt signaling, and VEGF signaling), cell adhesion (including focal adhesion and regulation of actin cytoskeleton), cellular metabolism, and neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer’s disease). This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
