In this context, the increased activity of SCD1 has been recognized as playing a crucial role in tumor growth, including that of GBM, and chemoresistance [7,9] and inhibition of SCD1 expression/activity, as well as impairment of LD generation, whose accumulation is a hallmark in cancers of different origins [10], including GBM [11], have emerged as promising therapeutic targets.
