The risk of AP recurrence was shown to be higher (more than five-fold) in the group of men with the GG genotype for −75 bp (OR = 5,6220, p = 0.0070) and the CC genotype for SNP +83 bp (OR = 5.1019, p = 0.0026) in the APOA1 gene compared to women. Here, APOA1 is linked to alkaline phosphatase measurement.
