CAT and hepatocellular carcinoma: The co-encapsulated tannic acid and resveratrol exhibited strong in vitro antioxidant activity and were shown to decrease the oxidative stress in a cell culture model, which was indicated by significantly decreasing the malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration and increasing the superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities in peroxide-treated human hepatoma cells (HepG2).
