As compared to healthy donors, Vδ1+ T lymphocytes from hospitalized COVID-19 patients had a statistically significant prevalence of the naive (CD45RA+CD27+) subset, accompanied by a significant reduction in the central memory (CD45RA-CD27+) subset and almost complete absence of the effector-memory (CD45RA-CD27−) and terminally-differentiated (CD45RA+CD27−) subsets (Figure 2A,B). This evidence concerns the gene CD27 and COVID-19.
