There has also been a report concerning an XY (SRY-positive) DSD heifer, in which the SRY gene was detected in the blood and ovaries with follicles and a large corpus luteum, despite XX/XY chimerism (freemartinism) being excluded though analysis of in vitro cultured leukocytes and genotyping of eighteen microsatellite markers in DNA isolated from blood [24]. This evidence concerns the gene SRY and disorder of sexual differentiation.
