GNRH1 and endometriosis: First-line medical therapies (oral contraceptives [OCPs] and progestogens) do work in two-thirds of women experiencing endometriosis-related pain [5,6,7] while second-line treatments like gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists and antagonists, which are offered only if OCPs or progestogens fail, are associated with menopausal symptoms [8,9,10].
