In a multicenter international registry of patients treated with ICIs, those with myocarditis had higher rates of hypertension (60 vs. 48%, p = 0.009) and tobacco use (48 vs. 17%, p = 0.001) and were more likely to be taking statins (39 vs. 29%, p = 0.04) and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors/angiotensin receptor blockers (32 vs. 23%, p = 0.04) [35]. This evidence concerns the gene ACE and hypertensive disorder.
