In both resistant HNSCC tumors and cell lines, the upregulation of miR766-3p and miR124-3p is associated with the downregulation of CREBRF and NR3C2—a direct target of miR124-3p and miR766-3p, respectively—which enhances tumor progression by regulating the CREB3/ATG5 and c-Myc/β-catenin signaling pathways (Figure 9C). This evidence concerns the gene MYC and neoplasm.
