In melanoma, DGKα has been shown to inhibit apoptosis by activating tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα)-induced activation of nuclear factor kappa-light chain enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB), which was proposed to be a result of DGKα-produced PA activating PKCζ-mediated phosphorylation of S311 of NF-κB p65 [10,76]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and melanoma.
