The presence of SNPs in the WRAP53 gene generates an amino acid change, namely rs2287499 (R68G), an Arg/Gly polymorphism, and rs2287498 (F150F), a Phe/Phe polymorphism [113,117,118], and the presence of these alterations in TP53 and WRAP53 may affect their products, causing a vulnerability to cancer and failure to respond to therapy [115,147]. This evidence concerns the gene WRAP53 and cancer.
