Typically, PARP-1 inhibitors have been reported to induce autophagy in a variety of tumor models, including ovarian cancer (Santiago-O'Farrill et al., 2020), chronic myeloid leukemia (Liu et al., 2019) and hepatocellular carcinoma (Zai et al., 2020), and the cotreatment with an autophagy inhibitor (chloroquine) may further expand the therapeutic efficacy of PARP inhibitors. This evidence concerns the gene PARP1 and neoplasm.
