CXCL9 and cancer: A large body of evidence exists to show that increased expression of CD8+ T cell-attracting chemokines, such as the C-C motif chemokine ligand 5 (CCL5) and C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 9 and 10 (CXCL9 and CXCL10), correlates with decreased levels of cancer metastasis and improved clinical outcome in patients with cancer [35–37].
