In line with the importance of impaired angiogenesis in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia, we discovered a series of angiogenic proteins, differentially regulated by EOPE or LOPE including: (i) ITIH28 only perturbed in LOPE compared to control; (ii) ITIH3&4 and (iii) IGFBP49–12, all perturbed in EOPE or LOPE, compared to controls. The gene discussed is ITIH3; the disease is preeclampsia.
