Specific elevation of ITIH3/ITIH4 and ITIH2 in both preeclampsia phenotypes and LOPE, compared to healthy controls, respectively, likely reflects molecular differences related to the pathogenesis of these different phenotypes of preeclampsia that could be explored in the future and as specific systemic biomarkers of EOPE or LOPE. This evidence concerns the gene ITIH3 and preeclampsia.
