In a JAK2V617F mouse model of erythroleukemia, Trp53 nullizygosity was essential for disease development; in a Trp53 heterozygous background, JAK2V617F mice did not develop the erythroleukemia of JAK2V617F;Trp53–/– mice but were similar to JAK2V617F mice (25).
