Depletion of microglia using CSF1R inhibitors confers deleterious effects in certain mouse models of PD (MPTP, human α-Syn AAV) (George et al., 2019; Yang et al., 2018), LPS-induced sickness behavior (Vichaya et al., 2020), and prion disease (Carroll et al., 2018).
