We confirmed the reduction of ACTA1, MYO1G, and NEB in lymph nodes metastasis at transcript or protein levels (Fig. 3e, f; Supplementary Data 4-1 and 4-4), reinforcing that actin-related proteins are altered during HNSCC spread by independent methodologies, possibly modulating cell motility (p ≤ 0.05; two-sided Wilcoxon signed-rank test for PRM-MS and two-sided Mann-Whitney test for RT-qPCR). This evidence concerns the gene NEB and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
