Subsequently, adipocyte membrane-associated proteins (APMAP) were identified and may play a regulatory role in the early stages of HCMV infection by interacting with glycoprotein complex containing gH/gL at a low pH or by mediating nuclear translocation of PP65 (63), but the specific mechanism of APMAP in HCMV infection and whether it interacts with pentamer need further studies for confirmation. The gene discussed is APMAP; the disease is cytomegalovirus infection.
