Although, the FDA has already approved the plasma test for the detection of EGFR mutations in lung cancer using PCR or NGS, the plasma‐based NGS in detecting driver gene alterations had imperfect concordance rates of about 70.0%–80.0% with tissue‐based NGS in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients,7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 which might affect the utility of plasma genotyping. Here, EGFR is linked to lung cancer.
